Mario Abbadessa
Founder & CEO, ADD Capital
Mario Abbadessa is Founder and CEO of ADD Capital, a private equity real asset player combining financial expertise with a strong technical skill set to originate, structure, execute and actively manage complex investments across Italy and Europe.
Through a vertically integrated PropCo-OpCo framework, ADD Capital pursues a thematic strategy across two dedicated funds – one focused on affordable living in Italy, the other on value-add opportunities across Italy and Europe – with over €2bn in investments.
Previously, Mario spent over a decade at Hines as Senior Managing Director, Head of Transactions Europe & Country Head Italy, overseeing more than €10bn in assets, structuring pan-European platforms and delivering landmark residential, office, logistics and mixed-use developments.
Strongly committed to the values of education, Mario serves as Topic Leader for Real Estate at the Bocconi Alumni Community and teaches on the Executive Master in Finance at SDA Bocconi.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University and a Master of Science in Finance, with electives in Real Estate Finance, from the University of Amsterdam.
