Francesca Federzoni
President of POLITECNICA
Francesca Federzoni, an engineer, has been involved in integrated design for over 30 years. Since 2011, she has served as President of Politecnica, one of Italy’s leading design firms in architecture, engineering, and urban planning. The company is owned by 45 partner architects and engineers and has delivered projects in more than 50 countries worldwide.
At the core of her design philosophy is the belief that today’s complexity can only be addressed through a holistic vision that integrates expertise, technologies, and multidisciplinary teams throughout both the design and construction phases of a project. She advocates for a people-centered approach to design, aimed at improving quality of life while placing respect for communities and the environment at the heart of every project.
Since 2022, she has been Vice President of OICE (the Italian Association of Engineering, Architecture, and Technical-Economic Consulting Organizations, affiliated with Confindustria), with responsibility for sustainability.
Since 2023 she has also served as National Vice President of Legacoop.
Since 2025, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of EFCA (the European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations), which represents the interests of national engineering and consultancy associations and promotes collaboration and sector influence at the European Union level.
